'Freak Brothers No. 13' is composed of pages first published in book form in 1978 by Rip Off Press under the title 'Thoroughly Ripped'. 'Winter of '59' appeared in 'Playboy' in 1974, all of the stories in this book were originally done for 'High Times Magazine' 1977-78. Except for the three-page story 'The Plant' which is a rejected rough sketch never published in English. Dave Sheridan died in 1982, the result of a head injury suffered in an accidental fall at a San Francisco hospital on his first day of cancer therapy. Gilbert Shelton was living in Paris in March 1997. |
