During an impromptu rescue of the Angelan Royal Pupae, Corbin meets the bewitching Phyla, an Angelan Hybreed and leader of the underground Anti-Tech Resistance. Phyla revealed that Corbin himself is an Angelan but further disclosure was interrupted by Hemlocke and a squad of HyperShock Troopers. Hemlocke captured Corbin and left him to languish deep in the lower levels of a Colony prison ... but not before identifying himself as the murderer of Corbin's father!
